Block Down Converters

Stancom has introduced two block down converters (BDC) to its range of products. Drawing on Stancoms experience in wide band RF distribution, two modules have been developed a C band module, 3.4-4.2GHz and an S-Band module, 2.2-2.6GHz. Both units exhibit ultra low Phase noise, excellent linearity and Low Noise figure. This provides excellent performance for today’s high speed and bandwidth modulation schemes.

 

C-Band, 3.4-4.2GHz, BDC001A

The BDC001A uses high performance MMIC’s in combination with compact distributed filters to offer performance that other suppliers cannot provide.

BDC001A – C-Band, Block Down Converter

Using an input pre-select filter and subsequent harmonic filtering, all images and spurious are extremely low. Combined with low noise and high intercept mixer/amplifiers to provide wide dynamic range. Stancoms BDC001A is currently the best in class with optimum signal recovery and excellent signal integrity.

Input Frequency range 3400MHz to 4200MHz,

Output Frequency range is 950-1750MHz

Ultra low phase noise noise PLL LO @ 2450MHz provides a Non-Inverted output band.

S-Band, 2.2-2.6GHz, BDC002A
